Job Description
Gabelli Funds is looking for individuals who are passionate about investment research to work in our London office.
Our analysts follow industries on a global basis, developing an operational understanding of each company and becoming an industry expert. The analysts hone this expertise through bottom-up research and continually visiting and speaking with company management, suppliers, competitors, and customers. The objective of this process is to identity companies that trade at a significant discount to their Private Market Value with one or more catalysts that may surface value.
Job responsibilities include
Gathering of data through public information including filings, news releases and conference calls, meetings with managements, and company site visits. Construction of detailed financial models on publicly traded companies, including the projection of expected revenue, expenses, cash flow, and other pertinent financial data. Communication of research through written reports, notes, conference calls, and other public forums.
Additional Responsibilities
Market funds and develop clients in Europe (identify new prospects, build upon existing relationships) Conduct business development in Europe
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years related experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a major in Business Management, Finance or Accounting MBA degree / CFA (preferred) with focus on Investing / Investment Management Knowledge of Global equities Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
