Join us as an Investment Operations Analyst at Barclays, where you will support business areas with oversight of key operational processes including Corporate Actions, Transfers and Settlements as well as managing internal and external reporting and issue resolution.


To be successful in the role of an Investment Operations Oversight you should be able to:

Manage stakeholder relationships up to director level and can influence third parties. Robust understanding of regulatory landscape and control environment e.g. EMIR, MiFID, CASS, and internal control frameworks is essential. Analysts must ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, monitor operational risk indicators and support audit readiness and SLA adherence. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, manage workloads effectively, with flexibility, adaptability, and strong self-management skills. Ability to understand and navigate complex issues and clearly articulate them.

Some other highly valued skills include:

Investment Operations experience across core functions such as Transfers, Settlements and Corporate Actions. Strong communication skills. Experience in relationship management.

This role will be based in Glasgow.

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution. Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes. Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes. Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency. Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders. Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations. Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
