Part-Time Invoice Administrator / Credit Control Assistant
to join our team. The ideal candidate will take ownership of following up on outstanding invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring healthy cash flow. This role is well-suited to someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing accounts.
Duties
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices via phone and email.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of invoices, payments, and customer communications.
Liaise with clients to resolve any billing queries or disputes in a professional and courteous manner.
Work with the finance and project teams to ensure invoices are issued accurately and on time.
Prepare and send regular statements of account to clients.
Escalate persistent non-payments or problematic accounts to management as needed.
Assist with general bookkeeping and administrative duties as required (e.g., filing, reconciling accounts).
Produce weekly reports on outstanding balances and progress toward payment targets.
Skills & Qualities
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a confident, polite manner when speaking to clients.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of invoicing and credit control processes.
Competent in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook); experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) is a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
A professional and persistent approach to chasing payments while maintaining good client relationships.
Requirements
Previous experience in an administrative, finance, or credit control role preferred.
Part-time availability (e.g., 2-3 days per week or equivalent flexible hours).
Comfortable working independently and remotely if required.
