Inward Reinsurance Technician

Pro currently has some exciting opportunities for an Inward Facultative Reinsurance Technician to be part of our Outsourcing Operations team.

The role is permanent and will be in Pros UK office location in Gloucester and operates a hybrid working model. For the right experience we may be able to consider a fully remote role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Undertake Technical Accounting responsibilities for Inward Facultative treaties. Responsibilities include:

Performing general credit control tasks

Reviewing account documentation and the accuracy of entries raised.

Investigation and resolution of issues; identifying and following up both internally with technical and underwriting departments as well as with external client contacts.

Processing tasks/accounts accurately in an efficient manner by month end deadlines

Ensuring overdue/late accounts are followed up and escalated to Client's management

Client reporting

Skills and Experience

Strong technical skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines

Understanding of principles of insurance and reinsurance is essential

3+ years' experience in a similar role within the inward reinsurance market

Knowledge of Facultative Reinsurance desirable but not essential

Understanding of SAP system is desirable but not essential

Excellent communication skills

Maintain a conscientious, positive and enthusiastic approach to work, maintaining good working relationships with colleagues
