What You'll Be Doing



Develop and Innovate

Lead the end-to-end development of smart IoT-enabled products for aquarium and environmental control.

Build reliable device communication systems that integrate with our Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform.

Develop cross-platform mobile applications using Dart, Flutter, Firebase, and AWS for seamless user interaction.

Preferred: Experience working with Blynk and/or ThingsBoard for real-time device management and visualization.

Collaborate and Integrate

Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer service to turn ideas into user-centred features.

Collaborate with external development agencies and vendors to enhance our IoT roadmap and accelerate product development.

Connect and Build

Implement and manage reliable communication between devices and cloud services using MQTT, HTTP, and WebSockets.

Ensure smooth integration of new IoT products into our digital infrastructure and eCommerce systems.

Test and Optimize

Perform rigorous testing and validation of device performance, app reliability, and cloud communication.

Debug and troubleshoot connectivity, firmware, and integration issues across devices and platforms.

Produce detailed technical documentation, including configuration guides and support materials.

Research and Advance

Stay informed on the latest developments in IoT hardware, embedded systems, and aquarium technology.

Contribute to product roadmaps and propose innovative solutions using emerging technologies.

Who You Are



Educated and Motivated

Preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Open to candidates with a strong portfolio or demonstrable skills in IoT development.

Technically Skilled

Confident building production-grade apps using Dart and Flutter, and integrating with Firebase and AWS.

Comfortable working with cloud APIs, device provisioning, and communication protocols.

Preferred: Familiarity with Blynk and/or ThingsBoard.

Precise and Product-Focused

Organized and efficient, with a commitment to developing high-quality, user-centric products.

Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-moving development environment.

Communicative and Collaborative

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Works effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with external partners.

This is a full-time,

on-site role

based in Chorleywood (WD3 5SX).

Applicants must be willing to relocate within a 30-mile radius.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
