Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled IPAF Operator to join our team for various construction and maintenance projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating powered access equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse sites, contributing to high-quality project delivery while maintaining a strong safety record.

Responsibilities

Operate IPAF-certified mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) in accordance with manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines. Conduct daily safety checks and inspections of equipment prior to use, reporting any faults or issues promptly. Set up and dismantle access platforms at various heights, ensuring stability and safety throughout operations. Work closely with site managers and team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion of projects. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and safety checks as required by company policies. Adhere strictly to health and safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist in site preparation and clean-up activities as necessary, ensuring a tidy and safe working environment.

Skills

Valid IPAF certification is essential, with recent certification preferred. Proven experience operating mobile elevating work platforms in a construction or maintenance setting. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to working at height. Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and site personnel. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical fitness and dexterity to operate equipment safely over extended periods. This role requires a committed individual who prioritises safety while delivering high standards of workmanship on every project.
