As an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) for the dog grooming program, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of assessments within the training provider. You will work closely with the Dog Grooming Assessor and Tutor to ensure that all assessments meet City & Guilds' standards and that learners are being assessed fairly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct internal quality assurance checks on assessments to ensure they meet City & Guilds' standards.
Review and evaluate assessment decisions made by the Dog Grooming Assessor to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Provide support and guidance to assessors to improve assessment practices.
Conduct regular sampling of assessments and provide feedback to the assessors on their practices.
Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, including sampling and feedback.
Participate in regular meetings with the Tutor and Assessor to discuss learner progress and assessment practices.
Ensure compliance with City & Guilds' external quality assurance (EQA) processes and prepare for external quality assurance visits.
Qualifications:
Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification (IQA).
Experience in internal quality assurance in vocational settings, ideally within dog grooming.
Level 3 qualification in Dog Grooming or equivalent experience in the industry.
Experience:
At least 3 years of professional dog grooming experience.
Experience in quality assurance or internal auditing is essential.
Previous experience as an assessor or tutor is advantageous.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of City & Guilds assessment processes and quality assurance criteria.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to provide constructive feedback.
