Job Description

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IRMER Quality & Safety Manager to join our Quality and Safety Team in the Imaging Division. This pivotal role will lead the implementation and management of a robust quality system across Imaging services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and driving continuous improvement.



You will be responsible for overseeing internal audits, managing non-conformances, and liaising with accreditation bodies to maintain UKAS accreditation. The post holder will also support operational management, contribute to strategic planning, and play a key role in clinical governance, risk management, and staff development.



Key Responsibilities:



Lead the development and maintenance of the Imaging Division's Quality Management System.



Coordinate and deliver quality review meetings and internal audits.



Investigate complaints, incidents, and QA failures, ensuring timely resolution.



Support compliance with IRMER regulations and Health & Safety legislation.



Contribute to strategic planning, equipment evaluation, and service development.



Manage document control, training programmes, and staff performance.



Provide expert advice on quality and safety to operational managers.



Ensure timely reporting and communication with internal and external stakeholders.



What We're Looking For:



HCPC registered Radiographer with a degree in a biomedical science-related subject.



Master's level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.



Proven experience in quality management, clinical governance, and accreditation processes (e.g. UKAS ISO).



Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.



Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence quality outcomes.



Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data reporting tools.



Training for Trainers qualification:



Experience in high-level incident investigation and teaching programme development.
