We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our tissue culture facility team providing day-to-day technical support for IRR's research. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintenance of essential tissue culture facility equipment. Provision of an efficient media service and mycoplasma testing service and ensuring the correct procedures are in place and adhered to for the disposal of waste.
The post holder will also be required to operate as part of a wider IRR- team to provide cover and support during periods of staff absence.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.
The salary for this post is
26,093 to 28,778
per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Vocational Qualification (SVQ/ONC) plus relevant work experience.
School education to standard grade or equivalent plus relevant work experience.
Experience of working within laboratory environment
Ability to maintain clear and accurate records
Competent numeracy, IT and communication skills
Experience of a customer orientated environment and working as part of a team.
