IT 2nd Line Support Engineer (37 Hours)

Salary: 27,071 with the potential for incremental progression to 28,556

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to complement our existing Digital Services team.

In this role you will provide first- and second-line technical support for digital hardware, software, and online resources by effectively disseminating knowledge, providing support, and offering training for the development of all College staff and students. A key part of the 2nd line engineer role is providing assistance to the 3rd line team with departmental and College projects. You will monitor the quality and accuracy of end user devices and applications, including RDS applications and, ensuring that they are up-to-date, ready for use and maintained to a high standard.

Successful candidates must possess:

-A minimum of 5 GCSE's or equivalent

-A relevant Level 3 qualification

-Experience of supporting digital resources

-First line customer service support experience

Possessing a Level 4 ICT/Digital qualification and having previous second line experience is considered advantageous.
