The IT Innovation and Digital Service is responsible for all the technology solutions required to underpin and enable services at Oxfordshire County Council. The working environment is fast-paced and continually evolving.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to work within the Technology & Strategy Team on keeping the council safe from Cyber Security risks. The work will include contributing to the development of the Cyber Security Roadmap, supporting its implementation, acting as a Cyber Incident Response Manager and reporting on incidents.

This role offers excellent opportunities to build new skills and knowledge, as well as fully utilising your existing skills and experience. This will be fully supported by a range of training, learning and development opportunities tailored to individual specific needs.

About you

The IT Service is looking for an organised and experienced professional. This role will need you to multi-task, prioritise and manage your time effectively. You will be working both with senior leaders and technical staff, and proactively on your own tasks to ensure the prevention and response to cyber incidents.
This is an exciting, and hands-on role which will require you to have very strong organisational skills as well as being very proactive.

An indepth knowledge of cyber security risks and a broad technical expertise to support the investigation of incidents and to coordinate remedial and maintanence activities. Working with relevant stakeholders on the development of policies and documentation and contributing to wider audit activity.

Strong interpersonal skills are a must and a proven track record in a similar working environment would be advantageous.
