We are looking for an IT Associate Business Partner (ITABP) to work at our Northampton (NN4 5FB) site.
As an ITABP, you'll work closely with the IT Business Partner to foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, monitor the progress of ongoing IT projects, and identify areas for improvement that add value to the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative team driving digital transformation and business efficiency. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday for over 40 hours per week. It offers a competitive salary of up to 40,000 per annum and a 5,000 annual car allowance.

Key responsibilities
1. Project Management
a. Assist in overseeing the progress of IT projects, ensuring activities are aligned with the Business and Department goals (e.g., ROI, productivity, compliance).
b. Support the IT Business Partner in tracking timelines, identifying potential issues or delays, and escalating them as necessary.
c. Assist in maintaining a knowledge repository to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge transfer between projects/departments and business verticals.
d. Help manage change requests by evaluating their impact on resources, timelines, and costs.
e. Support communication and training efforts related to new systems, processes, or technologies being implemented.
2. Client Collaboration
a. Help maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration throughout project phases.
b. Assist in preparing and delivering regular project updates and business updates to stakeholders as needed.
c. Assist in collecting and understanding internal and external customer requirements for any changes/projects.
d. Provide alternative solutions or recommendations based on customer needs to aid decision-making.
e. Collaborate with various internal teams, including architecture and operations, to ensure that solutions are compatible with company standards and objectives.
3. Relationships & Teamwork
a. Foster good relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.
b. Keep the IT Business Partner updated on project progress and provide relevant business analysis and updates.
c. Support communication between architecture, operations, and other teams to ensure solutions meet company standards.
4. Continuous Improvement
a. Monitor business performance as part of a portfolio of internal and external performance indicators.
b. Facilitate effective Root Cause investigation methods to propose corrective and preventative measures.
c. Inquisitively investigate, document and visualise business processes to ensure current best practice and ease of training.
d. Review performance indicators and suggest improvements for business efficiency.
Key requirements & skills
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within logistics
Experience in developing and managing IT roadmaps aligned to business strategy
Strong project management experience, with a focus on delivering high-value IT solutions in logistics.
Strong understanding of logistics operations and relevant IT systems
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all organisational levels.
A passion for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence through technology.
Analytical mindset, with a focus on improving business processes and efficiency through technology
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential roadblocks.
Some understanding or involvement with Change management or Lean Six Sigma would be desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Good working Knowledge of all Microsoft products.
