The role
We are currently looking to recruit an IT Business Analyst Lead to join our IT Business Services team here at Housing 21.
As IT Business Analyst Lead you will be responsible for leading a team of business analysts, driving the delivery of small change and project activity for requirements, testing, delivery as well as continuous improvement of existing systems. You will lead on working with the business to define business requirements and shaping these into technical requirements for procurement, development, configuration change and/or testing for new and existing products and services.
As the Lead, you will oversee the allocation of work to the team and ensure they stay on track to deliver against agreed timescales. There is a large portfolio of work to be delivered so support to the IT colleagues to plan BA resource requirements and working with the management team to achieve timely delivery is essential. All this whilst also helping to develop their BA skills to create a strong delivery team able to support growing demand.
Within the role you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the outputs from the team, promoting the use of standard approaches and templates as well and peer review to ensure consistency and quality. To lead by example and to ensure skills are maintained, the IT BA Lead will also carry out analysis activities themselves and this forms part of the overall capacity of the team.
While the role is home based the successful candidate will be required to attend team meetings at our head office in Birmingham as required.

What we're looking for
The essential requirements for the role include:
Strong experience of leading and supporting a team of Business Analysts
Strong business analysis skills, including documenting business and technical requirements, process mapping, gap analysis
Practical experience of a range of suitable and relevant analysis techniques
Experience working closely alongside a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Highly proficient in business analysis using a range of techniques, to facilitate evidence-based decision making
Experience working in suitable and relevant techniques. To develop/configure system/product designs based on user requirements
Knowledge of project management methodologies
Experience of working with data, SQL script, excel and system configuration changes
