This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for

IT Business Analyst

who will play a major role in the technical design and development of the company's technical offerings. The position is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.

(Main Duties and Responsibilities):



Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders. Translate business needs into functional specifications for IT solutions. Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and workflow modeling. Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and project managers to deliver effective IT solutions. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with stakeholders. Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by creating test cases and assisting with execution. Analyze and resolve business-related technical issues and propose improvements. Ensure solutions meet regulatory and compliance standards where applicable. Assist in project planning and management, including timelines and resource estimation.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]



Experience working in a related field for 4 to 5 years. Proven ability to

gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements

using industry-standard practices and tools. Experience in

business process modeling

and creating clear visual workflows using tools like Visio or Lucid chart. Strong understanding of

functional and non-functional requirements

, and the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications. Hands-on experience conducting

gap analysis, impact assessments

, and defining current vs. future state processes. Proficient in

SQL

and comfortable working with datasets to validate business logic and support data-driven decision making. Familiarity with

data visualization tools

such as Power BI or Tableau for generating insights and reports. Working knowledge of

APIs, system integrations, and modern IT architectures

, including cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Azure. Experience working in

Agile environments

, with a deep understanding of Scrum ceremonies, backlog grooming, and writing detailed user stories with acceptance criteria. Proficient in

project and documentation tools

such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and cross-functional meetings to drive consensus and gather inputs. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Macros, SQL, VLOOKUP in Excel), Jira, Confluence, Tableau. Hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar enterprise software. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience integrating cloud-based applications with on-premises systems. Knowledge of industry-specific platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, or Dynamics 365 is a plus. A background or understanding of

regulatory compliance frameworks

(e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) is highly desirable.

Salary: GBP 55000 to 65000 per annum
