Overview


We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Business Partner to join our team in MediaCityUK to support the Collections Systems and Compliance domains. The role will act as a strategic liaison between the IT department, local business operations, technical owners and compliance function.

The IT Business Partner will play a pivotal role in ensuring that technology solutions align with business and IT objectives, delivering value, and meeting the needs of stakeholders. This role also supports the planning, implementation, and oversight of IT systems and processes that meet compliance mandates, including data privacy, cybersecurity, audit, SDLC, STLC, risk and industry-specific regulations.

This role focuses on collaboration and mutual respect to drive positive business results. It involves strategic alignment, project engagement and support and strong relationship engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

This role provides direct input into the governance cycle that supports the achievement of key goals, planning and execution of various business applications, and delivery of bottom-line business value.

Duties



Strategic Alignment and Collaboration:

Collaborate and partner with business leaders to understand the strategic goals and priorities. Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring IT application initiatives are aligned with business needs and group objectives. Identify opportunities to optimize processes and improve system performance through technological solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related queries , foster strong relationships with key internal and business and external stakeholders. Partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, local IT and business owners and Group IT stakeholders to align technology strategies with regulatory obligations

Collections & Risk Systems Management

: Develop a deep domain knowledge of our organisational functions and applications, overseeing the implementation and maintenance of relevant Hoist IT systems.

Solution Discovery:

Identify, procure, and implement technology solutions that meet the business' future needs. Translate business needs into clear, actionable IT solutions and system requirements for new or enhanced systems. Work closely with the IT team to continuously assess the performance of collections systems, identifying and addressing inefficiencies or system gaps. Ensure systems and technology solutions meet compliance, regulatory, and operational needs.

Project Management:

Engage with Project Managers tosupport business operations with new and ongoing projects, helping ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery, whilst assisting in driving the greatest possible value and impact. Monitor progress, resolve issues, and provide status updates to stakeholders.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Work with business, technical teams and IT Business Partner for Data, to ensure accurate and consistent data within collections and compliance systems. Develop and oversee reports and dashboards to monitor performance, analyze trends, and inform decision-making.

Service Management

: Oversee IT service delivery (internal and external) to ensure it meets required standards and supports business operations and financial obligations. Develop and maintain IT documentation, including policies, SOPs, and control matrices.

Risk Management and Compliance:

Identify and mitigate IT-related risks that could impact collection operations.

Leadership and Collaboration Skills:

Effective communication, leadership, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and key personnel.

Continuous Improvement and Adaptability:

Fostering a culture of learning, growth, and continuous improvement, along with being proactive and adaptable to changes. Oversee system enhancements, upgrades, and integration with other enterprise systems to improve user experience and data flow.

Change Management & Support:

Lead the change management process to ensure smooth transitions when implementing new systems, updates, or processes. Provide support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues as needed, ensuring early adoption of system changes.

Governance:

Following and contributing to Hoist's application governance protocols.

Advance Application Management:

Advance the BP capability beyond just the role and function, sharing ownership with the full BP community with the aim of continuous improvement, and to actively mature the BRM discipline. Occasional travel may be required for audits, training, or stakeholder meetings.

Essential Knowledge & Skills



Experience within a fast-paced environment, traversing both high to low level business activities. 5+ years of experience in IT business partnering, ideally within the collections, banking or credit industry. Ability to understand complex technical concepts, excellence in articulating ideas and presenting them simply to a non-technical audience, bridging the gap between technological and financial domains effectively. Extensive experience in supporting business functions to understand their processes and develop requirements for future improvement. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with experience of managing and influence multiple stakeholders including Leadership and Executive levels. Leading by example and modelling desired behaviours such as transparency, collaboration, accountability, clear communication and a focus on continuous improvement within the team environment. Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities. Fluent in English, other European languages are a bonus. Experience in a highly regulated industry such as financial services, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals. Experience in driving process improvement and automation in IT applications

Desired Knowledge & Skills



5+ years of experience championing organizational evolution, e.g. leading initiatives, products, services, or interactions. Proven experience in managing or implementing collections systems and technologies. Strong understanding of collections and compliance processes, regulations, and industry standards.

Implementation Expertise: Proficient in applying business and IT resources to enhance precision, operational efficiency, and promptness in forecasting, report generation, and analytical dashboard construction.
