Your Role and What You'll Be Doing




At Irwin Mitchell, we're passionate about delivering exceptional experiences for our colleagues and clients. As we continue to evolve our technology landscape, we're looking for an experienced IT Change Manager to lead and embed a structured, people-focused approach to change across our IT services.



This is a key role within our IT Service Management team, offering the opportunity to shape how change is delivered, governed, and communicated across the organisation. You'll be instrumental in ensuring that our change processes are robust, transparent, and aligned with business priorities--minimising risk while maximising value.



As IT Change Manager, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end change management process. Your responsibilities will include:


Leading the IT Change Management function, ensuring all changes are assessed, authorised, and implemented in line with ITIL best practices Managing the Change Advisory Board (CAB), facilitating regular meetings and ensuring effective decision-making across stakeholders Working closely with service owners, technical teams, and project managers to coordinate change activity and ensure alignment with strategic goals Developing and maintaining change policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring they are clear, accessible, and regularly reviewed Monitoring and reporting on change performance, using KPIs and metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement Championing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, helping teams understand the value of structured change and how it supports service stability and innovation Supporting incident and problem management processes, ensuring changes are appropriately linked and lessons learned are captured

About You



Proven experience in IT change management, ideally within a complex, multi-site organisation Strong knowledge of ITIL principles, with a focus on Change, Incident, and Problem Management Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across technical and non-technical teams A structured and analytical approach, with the ability to assess risk, prioritise effectively, and make sound decisions under pressure Confidence in facilitating meetings and presenting to senior stakeholders, including CAB and governance forums Experience with ITSM tools, such as ServiceNow or equivalent platforms
