About the Role
Job Overview

  • Design and implement technical solutions to complex problems, balancing user needs with wider system and platform requirements
  • Develop backend services and frontend applications in line with agreed user stories, architectural standards and best practices
  • Write high-quality, efficient and scalable code using modern languages and frameworks
  • Test and validate your own work, and contribute to peer reviews to ensure reliability, performance and maintainability
  • Produce clear, concise technical documentation to enable teams to understand, support and extend applications
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to refine requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full development lifecycle
  • Apply a broad understanding of modern technologies to select appropriate tools and approaches
  • Ensure systems are designed for scale, resilience ,security and integration with wider enterprise platforms
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • 40,000 - 47,000 Depending on Experience

We're looking for a confident, delivery-focused mid-level Developer who combines strong technical capability with the ability to collaborate, influence and communicate clearly across teams.
Essential experience and skills include:
  • Strong development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js and/or Go
  • Experience building frontend applications using React and TypeScript
  • Proven ability to write efficient, high-quality code for scalable systems
  • Experience designing and working with NoSQL databases, including DynamoDB
  • Hands-on experience working within CI/CD pipelines
  • A solid understanding of microservice architecture principles
  • Experience deploying and operating services using Kubernetes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design solutions to complex technical challenges
  • Experience testing, validating and documenting technical solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • An understanding of how individual services fit into larger, enterprise-scale architectures
Desirable (Bonus) Experience
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience with Cloudflare Workers or edge-based/serverless compute
  • Exposure to cloud-native platforms and modern infrastructure tooling - AWS
  • Experience contributing to technical design discussions and architectural decisions
