The IT & Digital Transformation Service is seeking to recruit an IT&DT Analyst to join the Infrastructure and Security team.
The successful candidate will take a key role in the continued development and support of the Council's IT Server and backup Infrastructure.
You will work alongside the Senior Analyst and ITDT Officer in the team to support the Authority's entire server infrastructure and provide support across a diverse range of technologies to onsite technicians in Schools and junior members of staff in the wider IT team.
This is an exciting and challenging role with a wide remit and presents an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable person with strong technical skills to play a pivotal role in modernising and transforming the delivery of digital services within the Authority.
Required Experience/Knowledge:
Candidates must be qualified to Degree level in Computing or related subject or be able to demonstrate experience
commensurate with the role:
Server Virtualisation (HyperV/VMWare)
Backups and Disaster Recovery principles
Microsoft Active Directory
Software Deployment and Management
Remote Desktop Services
Working in a Datacentre (racking equipment, troubleshooting hardware etc.)
You will be able to demonstrate that you can work effectively within a team and deploy new and/or innovative solutions successfully. You will have managed or played a key role for a project to a successful conclusion.
Further experience in networking technologies, end user device management and IT Security concepts would also be desirable to the role. An IT certification or project management related qualification is also desirable for the role.
