About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced IT Engineer Architect to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of payment solutions. This is a strategic position that requires deep technical expertise, a visionary mindset, and the ability to collaborate across multiple geographies and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the definition of architecture reference models across initiatives.
Participate in the discovery phase of all projects to define tailored strategies for each client.
Provide architectural support during design phases, ensuring the delivery of high-value products for customers, financial institutions, and the open market.
Maintain a strategic vision of the payments industry evolution, anticipating new capabilities and challenges.
Foster collaboration and asset reuse across initiatives in all countries.
Manage relationships with CTO, CIO, and CDO areas of Santander subsidiaries and other clients.
Define integration architectures with client platforms.
Experience Required
10+ years in senior IT roles, with a strong focus on Payments Solution/Enterprise Architecture.
Skills & Knowledge
Deep expertise in SWIFT and SWIFT messaging.
Strong knowledge of CHAPS and International Payments.
Experience with MT to MX mapping and translations.
High-level conceptualization and synthesis skills.
Functional understanding of the payments industry.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strategic vision of technology platforms and operating models.
Proficiency in:
Microservices architecture, orchestration, and frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Quarkus).
Cloud technologies and DevOps practices.
Integration standards: ISO20022, SOAP, REST.
Messaging systems and data management (Relational & NoSQL).
Agile methodologies.
Awareness of emerging technologies such as AI and blockchain, with a focus on their application in payments
