The Students' Union at UWE are looking for an individual with excellent IT skills to join the Finance Team as an IT & EPoS Assistant on a Part-Time (20 Hours Per Week), Permanent basis!
This position will assist in the day to day operation, service, maintenance and development of IT, AV and EPoS Systems within all areas of The Students' Union at UWE.

Duties:
To assist in the day to day operation, service, maintenance and development of IT, AV and EPoS Systems within all areas of The Students' Union at UWE.
To carry out specified IT duties and assist the IT Manager within the IT Team.
To assist in the implementation of Hardware and Software changes within the Students Union.
To provide a consistent, high quality IT service level to all departments.
To work with external business contacts and suppliers to maintain the relevant IT and EPoS systems.
To assist any member of staff with any IT related queries and issues that may arise.
To plan and assist with rolling stock takes and full stock takes across all of Trading Services with the commercial manager ensuring all stock is accounted for and adhering to stock loss objectives.
Assist the Finance department with documenting and analysing invoices and purchase orders for commercial areas, and achieve valid organizational goals.
To work with suppliers on tracking stock from time of order to sales floor and support the Finance Manager with developing business processes within stock handling and delivering the relevant training.
To occasionally collate and analyse information and trade analysis reports (written, oral or otherwise) regarding stock levels, deliveries or any other information as requested by the IT Manager, Finance Manager or Commercial Managers/Director.
To apply VAT knowledge to categorise products correctly ensuring accurate record for the company's commercial VAT return.
To maintain the work area to the required standard.
To provide regular service level reports to the IT manager.
To assist the Finance team with any investigations related to the Students' Union website or EPoS Systems.
To assist with security and prevention of theft from all trading areas.
Any other reasonable duties as directed by the Line Manager.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
A level or equivalent level of education
Experience in resolving system problems
Experience of installation, maintenance and advancement of IT systems
Experience of EPoS Management Systems
Demonstrable working knowledge of IT systems
Ability to deliver workload against set targets
Excellent IT skills
Problem solving
High levels of self-motivation, enthusiasm and commitment
Attention to detail
High level of numeracy

Rate of Pay:
24,242 (Annual salary based on full time 37 hours per week, this will be pro rata as this vacancy is part time, specific salary details can be provided during interview).

Location
: Based at Frenchay Campus. The postholder may be required to work at, or from any of the Union's establishments.
