About the Role
Are you a hands-on IT professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments?
We're looking for an
IT Field Engineer
to provide on-site technology support across our UK manufacturing sites. You'll be the go-to person for resolving technical issues that impact production - from hardware and devices on the shop floor to essential business systems like ERP, WMS, and BI platforms.
In this role, you won't just fix things--you'll be a key player in keeping operations running smoothly. If you're eager to work in a real-world setting, learn new systems, and make a tangible impact on production performance, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site break/fix support for Windows PCs, tablets, barcode/RFID printers, HMIs, and other operational technology.
Troubleshoot issues with ERP, WMS, and BI platforms, escalating where needed.
Conduct daily equipment health checks and routine systems validation.
Collaborate with internal IT and external service providers to deliver excellent service.
Maintain accurate documentation in our ITSM system (Halo).
Travel between sites and participate in an on-call support rota to cover urgent incidents.
You Will Need
Essentials:
Some hands-on IT support experience (e.g., internship, helpdesk, or first-line support).
Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and basic troubleshooting.
A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
Interest in IT systems used in manufacturing (ERP, WMS, BI).
Ability to work independently and prioritise across multiple sites.
Desirables:
Exposure to Power BI, SQL Server, or basic networking.
Understanding of manufacturing operations or support experience in industrial environments.
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or T Level in Digital Support.
Who You Are
Reliable, self-motivated, and proactive in your work.
A clear communicator who can work with both technical teams and non-technical end users.
Flexible and able to adapt to urgent issues and changing priorities in a busy production environment.
Why Join Us?
Work at the heart of a growing business supporting leading-edge manufacturing operations.
Be part of a supportive team that values development and encourages learning.
