In this varied role, you will provide onsite break/fix support, hardware installs, and scheduled contractual visits to a wide range of clients. No two days are the same, you'll be the face of our service, building strong relationships while tackling real-time IT challenges head-on.




You will have proven experience in supporting existing desktop/server infrastructures, and have the confidence to work independently while being backed by a supportive and knowledgeable team.

This exciting position combines remote work with moderate travel, primarily around the South West region, with occasional travel beyond these areas to meet client needs.



Your responsibilities as an IT Field Engineer will be:





Ensure Field Engineer support tickets are updated and completed within SLA Perform scheduled contract visits at customer sites and complete relevant documentation Attend customer sites and troubleshoot IT issues which cannot be resolved remotely by the Network Operations Centre Provide holiday and sickness cover onsite at customer sites when required Install and configure new hardware and software at customer sites Build excellent relationships with key service stakeholders both internally and externally Identify areas to upsell products and services to existing customers Cover 1st, 2nd or 3rd Line support teams when required within the Network Operations Centre Assisting Professional Services when required




About you:





Exceptional customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal) Fault analysis and prioritisations skills, to ensure all issues are resolved based on criticality for all our customers. The ability to meet contracted SLA's.




You will also have proven experience with the technologies listed below:




Microsoft Windows Servers including: (2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 and 2022) Office 365 - Azure, Intune Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, WDS and WSUS Veeam Backup & Replication Anti-Virus including MS Defender and Sophos. Basic TCP/IP, switching and routing configuration and installation Firewall and VPN configuration Corporate wireless systems
