We are recruiting an Infrastructure and Cabling Engineer based in Kent or the Southeast to join our team. You will independently deliver on-site installations, including structured cabling and fibre optic network systems. Additional responsibilities include site surveys for accurate quotations, new site builds, and providing technical support directly at client premises.
Your tasks will also cover installing and maintaining EPOS, Chip & PIN systems, digital signage, and WiFi setups
. A minimum of 8 years' experience in structured cabling
and fibre optic installations is required.
Although experience with EPOS, Chip & PIN, and digital signage would be advantageous, full training will be provided.
Working hours are based on 37.5 hours per week, with additional time required for travel depending on site locations. Occasional evening and weekend work will be necessary, including periods spent working away from home within the UK. A flexible approach to working hours is essential.
The ideal candidate will need to have a good work ethic, with a 'can do' attitude to learning and developing their skill set.
They will be working within a fast-paced professional organisation, who have been established since 2003 working with major high street brands. The customer always comes first.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with others as a team
Carry out installation works as required
Deliver installation works as directed by the lead / engineering manager
Ensure quality control of work
Structured cabling and fibre optic installations.
Conducting site surveys and providing accurate quotations.
Completing new site buildouts independently.
Installation and maintenance of EPOS, Chip & PIN, digital signage, and WiFi equipment.
Able to multitask and provide detailed updates on progress of works on site
Provide daily update to the projects team
Customer facing and presentable at all times
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Experience will include the following capabilities:
Some experience in Data Cabling, Fibre Optic, CW1308 installation would be beneficial
Computer literate
Capable of providing clear support and instructions to colleagues and clients.
Attend site meetings where required with colleagues
Strong attention to detail and high professional standards.
Full UK Driving Licence
35,000-40,000 annual salary, although negotiable based on experience.
Good overtime package
