At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Information Security to join our Group Head Office Team working remotely in the UK.

Working hours:

Monday - Thursday - 8:30 - 17:00, Friday - 8:30 - 14:10

Place of work:

remote to the UK, this role will require the ability to travel internationally to our manufacturing sites.

The Role



As the Head of Information Security, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and governing the global information and cybersecurity strategy across the business.



The role ensures the protection of information assets, systems, and infrastructure that support manufacturing operations, engineering, and commercial workstreams across Aerospace, Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT), and Mobility sectors.



This position is accountable for ensuring compliance with key international standards and regulations, including NIST (National Institute of Standards Technology) 800-171, CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certifications), ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) and Cyber Essentials, while driving continuous improvement in security maturity, resilience, and culture.



This position will be responsible for promoting a global security first culture through targeted awareness programs and integrated processes that reduce human- factor risks.

Key Responsibilities include:

Strategic Leadership:

Provide Strategic direction for security investments, risk management and security posture improvement across all global sites. Collaborate with all disciplines to ensure security and compliance are embedded widely.

Governance, Risk and Compliance:

Own and maintain the company-wide Information Security Management System (ISMS) - including Policy Management, Third Party Risk Management.

Cyber Risk Management:

Identify and assess cyber risks affecting operational technology, IT and cloud environments.

Security Operations & Incident Response:

Oversee the Security Operations Centre (SOC) function, managing detection, response and recovery from security incidents. Coordinate crisis management response during major cyber incidents, ensuring timely communication and restoration.

Architecture and Technical Assurance:

Ensure secure by design IT operations by partnering across teams to maintain resilient global infrastructure, strengthen IAM (Identity and Access Management) and PAM (Privileged Access Management) controls, and assess new technologies for compliance and risk.

As Head of Information Security, you will be a strategic thinker with the ability to translate business risk into technical controls, you will have communication skills to support you in influencing your stakeholders.



You will have previous experience working in cybersecurity, within a manufacturing or defence environment is advantageous, as well as experience leading and mentoring a team. To succeed in this role, you will have proven success implementing or maturing security programs across multiple global sites.



Knowledge and understanding of SO ITGC frameworks, CMMC will support you in being successful in this role.
