An opportunity has arisen to join the Frontier team, based at Witham St Hughs. We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager to join us on a permanent full-time basis.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Manager to oversee the management and operation of our organisational technology landscapes. The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and hands-on experience in managing complex technology environments, including Citrix, VMware, Veeam, Linux, Checkpoint, and Aruba. Additionally, the candidate should have a proven track record of successfully migrating from on-premises infrastructure to third-party or cloud hosted environments.

Ideal candidate

  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Manager or similar role, managing complex technology landscapes
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Citrix, VMware, Veeam, Linux, Checkpoint, and Aruba technologies or equivalent
  • Experience in migrating infrastructure from on-premises to third-party or cloud hosted environments
  • Solid understanding of networking, server infrastructure, and virtualisation technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Citrix Certified, VMware Certified Professional) will be an advantage.
The role - Key responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the infrastructure and network teams to ensure smooth operations of all technology landscapes
  • Develop and implement strategies for the efficient management of complex infrastructure systems
  • Design and oversee the implementation of network and server infrastructure projects.
  • Manage and oversee troubleshooting of issues related to Citrix, VMware, Veeam, Linux, Checkpoint, and Aruba environments.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in infrastructure management and emerging technologies
  • Analyse and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure systems to enhance performance and security
  • Lead the planning and execution of infrastructure migration projects from on-premises to third-party or cloud hosted environments
  • Continuously assess and improve infrastructure stability, scalability, and reliability
  • Monitor and maintain hardware and software inventory, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
