Morgan Stanley are looking to for an infrastructure / IT project manager from the financial services industry with experience in provisioning and installing electronic trading infrastructure and/or low latency technology.
The role will focus on critical day-to-day activities including Data Center network switch installations, CoLocation builds, external client connectivity, extranet services and ordering of cross-connects. This role is hands-on, in a fast paced and high-volume environment. As an IT project manager, you would be responsible for multiple ongoing projects throughout their execution cycle to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope and timeline. As a member of the team, you will own the installation and coordination of new electronic trading infrastructure bringing full lifecycle project management. The candidate will collaborate with partners in the business, technology and risk and control functions. This role is not application focused but rather network infrastructure readiness in the low / ultra-low latency arena.

What youll do in the role:
xc2xb7 Own project execution / network deployment of electronic trading infrastructure across various
North America Data Centers
xc2xb7 Engage Equinix CoLocation providers to arrange and install cross connects
xc2xb7 Ensure electronic trading infrastructure readiness for ultra-low latency trading
xc2xb7 Coordinate 3rd party / external client connectivity
xc2xb7 Manage network hardware inventory
xc2xb7 Engage business unit and stakeholders to ensure project success
xc2xb7 Develop project schedules, maintain issues, and risk logs
xc2xb7 Partner with telecom carriers to procure leased lines and circuits
xc2xb7 Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team
What you'll bring to the role:
xc2xb7 Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or
equivalent experience
xc2xb7 15 years of technology project management experience
xc2xb7 Financial services firm / industry
xc2xb7 Coordination with various managers and technical personnel during all project phases
xc2xb7 Experience in running physical infrastructure or engineering related programs/projects.
xc2xb7 Intermediate-level knowledge in one or more of the following: LAN, WAN, Telecommunications, Datacentre
Facilities
xc2xb7 Proven ability to manage delivery/execution of a wide range of tasks and initiatives.
xc2xb7 Proven ability to work in a fast paced highly demanding environment.
xc2xb7 Experience working with client facing groups, market data teams and a full knowledge of exchanges [NYSE,
Nasdaq, BATS.etc)
xc2xb7 Knowledge of computer networking topology.
xc2xb7 Familiar with network infrastructure, IT Infrastructure, and network architecture.
xc2xb7 Knowledge of and the low latency and real time market data environment.
xc2xb7 Proven ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously
xc2xb7 Proficiency with project management and strategic planning tools
xc2xb7 Knowledge of working with data B2B providers like BT and TNS.
xc2xb7 Proven experience developing partnerships with and successfully coordinating across various Business,
Technology, Operations, Control partners and stakeholders.
xc2xb7 Strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor
messages appropriately.
xc2xb7 Strong presentation skills, including ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information to create polished
presentations for management.
xc2xb7 Independent self-starter who can manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines.
xc2xb7 Eagerness to learn the business and understand detailed requirements.
xc2xb7 Experience working with cross functional teams, including Operations, Design/Arch Technology, Risk and
Compliance.
xc2xb7 Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio, and MS Teams.
xc2xb7 Knowledge and experience in workflow management software (e.g., Jira) and ServiceNow.
xc2xb7 Expertise in all Microsoft Office tools, especially Power Point, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
xc2xb7 Familiarity with Agile, Kanban, JIRA practices and methodology
xc2xb7 Ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
xc2xb7 Experience with Cisco and Arista equipment
xc2xb7 CCNA Preferred
