Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager with a strong specialization in IT infrastructure management, particularly within Microsoft Azure and Office 365 environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud-based systems that ensure high availability, data security, and operational excellence.

This position requires strategic leadership in the design and execution of disaster recovery plans, system migrations, and infrastructure optimization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical acumen, project management capability, and leadership qualities to effectively manage hybrid and remote teams.

A hybrid work model is offered, allowing flexibility for remote work while maintaining periodic on-site presence for key operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Infrastructure & Continuity Planning

Design, implement, and maintain a highly available and resilient cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and compliance with organizational standards. Oversee the deployment and maintenance of Azure Virtual Machines (VMs) and App Services within secure, policy-compliant environments. Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Microsoft Azure environments. Conduct regular risk assessments, scenario testing, and recovery simulations to ensure resilience and uptime. Ensure proactive infrastructure monitoring and incident response through Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Lead the continuous optimization of Azure resources to achieve cost efficiency, performance improvement, and sustainability goals.

2. Security & Compliance Management

Oversee the deployment and integration of security appliances, including firewalls, within Azure architectures. Establish and enforce data protection, access control, and Office 365 security policies in compliance with industry and organizational standards. Ensure the company's IT infrastructure adheres to all applicable regulatory and compliance frameworks.

3. Systems Implementation & Cloud Operations

Direct the deployment and administration of mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) solutions to support remote and hybrid workforces. Lead the migration to Office 365, ensuring seamless user adoption and integration with Azure services. Supervise the configuration, performance, and maintenance of virtualized environments within Azure. Implement proactive monitoring and ticketing systems to ensure the stability and performance of IT services.

4. Leadership & Strategic Collaboration

Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to align IT strategies with business objectives. Oversee disaster recovery and service management initiatives in alignment with organizational goals.

5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Evaluate and integrate emerging Azure and Office 365 technologies to enhance infrastructure efficiency and scalability. Drive infrastructure modernization projects, including upgrades, migrations, and performance improvements.

6. Technical Support & Incident Resolution

Provide advanced technical support for complex issues related to Azure and Office 365 environments. Manage endpoint technologies and ensure device and data security across all operating environments. Lead troubleshooting and problem-resolution efforts to minimize downtime and maintain service continuity.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional certifications such as MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), are highly desirable. Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management, disaster recovery planning, and Office 365 administration. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in hybrid and remote working environments. Strong technical proficiency in Azure, Office 365, VMware, and associated technologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills with a focus on service excellence. Must have full UK driving licence.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position offering a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work flexibility with scheduled on-site engagements for critical infrastructure projects, audits, and recovery simulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 43,000.00 per year
