Job Description

Are you a

hands-on IT professional

with a knack for leadership and a passion for exceptional service? We're looking for an experienced

IT Manager

to take the reins of our IT Service Desk and day-to-day support operations, ensuring our office and field teams stay connected and productive.



Reporting to the IT & Systems Director, you will be the

backbone of our IT support

, managing and mentoring a small internal team to deliver high standards of user satisfaction across our diverse range of devices (laptops, mobiles, and tablets).

The Role: What You'll Be Doing





This is a dynamic role where you'll blend

leadership, technical expertise, and operational management

.



Lead & Mentor:

Manage, mentor, and develop the in-house IT team, fostering a strong

customer-focused culture

and team ethos.

Service Desk Ownership:

Take full ownership of the IT service desk, handling escalations, and ensuring the timely resolution of technical issues for the entire business.

Infrastructure Management:

Maintain and support the physical network infrastructure, including

Wi-Fi access points & CCTV

, primarily using the

Ubiquiti UniFi platform

.

Operational Excellence:

Oversee the smooth running of the

starter/leaver process

, including IT kit logistics and vital

asset management

.

Strategic Support:

Provide focused,

hands-on support for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)

.

Supplier Relations:

Act as the primary point of contact for all IT hardware/software suppliers and network/broadband providers.

Core Systems:

Support

Microsoft 365 administration

(Entra ID, SharePoint, NCE licensing) and manage essential

patching, updates, and basic cybersecurity hygiene

.

Troubleshooting:

Provide expert Windows and Android troubleshooting.

Travel:

Conduct

occasional national site visits

for meetings, IT audits, and equipment refreshes.
