IT Manager

to lead the delivery, resilience, and strategic development of our IT services across the school.



Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will be a well-qualified systems manager with a proven track record of managing IT infrastructure and projects--ideally across multiple sites--and a passion for supporting education through technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Deliver and evolve the school's IT strategy, aligning systems and services with educational and operational goals.

Infrastructure & Operations:

Manage and optimise networks, servers, telephony, AV, and printing systems to ensure high availability and performance.

Cyber Security & Data Governance:

Oversee firewalls, endpoint protection, GDPR compliance, and cyber risk assessments.

Safeguarding Through Technology:

Ensure robust filtering, monitoring, and safeguarding tools are in place for both day pupils and boarders.

Service Management:

Operate and improve the IT helpdesk (Spiceworks), supervise technical staff, and provide responsive support to staff and pupils.

Vendor & Budget Oversight:

Manage supplier relationships, procurement, licensing, and IT budgets.

Learning Technology Leadership:

Champion the use of digital tools in teaching and learning, and provide training and CPD for staff.

Systems Integration:

Lead implementation and integration of LMS, MIS, Finance, HR, and marketing platforms.
