We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee our organisation's technology infrastructure and ensure the efficient operation of our IT systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in server management, information security, and network infrastructure, with a proven ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively. Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the organisation's server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Oversee information and network security protocols to protect sensitive data and systems.
Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
Lead systems engineering initiatives to improve overall IT operations.
Utilise SolarWinds for network monitoring and performance management.
Administer Active Directory for user account management and access control.
Implement ITIL best practices for service management and support processes.
Provide technical support across various platforms, including desktop support and remote access software.
Supervise the IT team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth.
Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.
Conduct analysis of current systems to identify areas for improvement in network support and engineering.
Ensure the integrity of network infrastructure through regular assessments and updates.
Skills
The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
Server management (Windows Server, Linux)
Information security principles
Network security practices (firewall configuration, VPNs)
Disaster recovery planning
Systems engineering methodologies
Proficiency in SolarWinds, Active Directory, ITIL, ServiceNow, Jira
Technical support experience across various platforms (desktop support, remote access)
Strong computer networking knowledge (LAN/WAN)
Project management skills with an emphasis on time management
Leadership capabilities with supervising experience
Familiarity with network infrastructure components (Cisco routers, DHCP)
Software development understanding (AWS, Azure)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
Analysis skills for evaluating system performance and user requirements
