Acquisitions Systems Ltd / Pharmagraph is looking for an experienced IT Manager to join our well-established and growing engineering company. The role is based in Finchampstead and reports to the Technical Director.

The role
As IT Manager, you will be responsible for the organisation's IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and compliance, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and audit-ready.
A key focus of the role is to support the organisation to ISO 27001 certification, embedding best-practice information security governance and controls across the business.
You will work closely with engineering, quality, and leadership teams to ensure IT systems support regulated environments and business growth.
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following activities relating to ASL/ Pharmagraph environmental monitoring systems:
IT Infrastructure & Operations
Oversee day-to-day IT operations including servers, networks, cloud platforms, and end-user systems
Ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure supporting engineering and regulated workflows
Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity arrangements
Information Security & ISO 27001 Implementation
Support the full ISO 27001 lifecycle, from gap analysis through to certification
Develop and maintain the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
Implement and oversee security controls including access management, endpoint protection, logging, and incident response
Promote a strong security culture through policies, training, and awareness
Compliance & Quality Support
Ensure IT systems align with relevant regulatory and data integrity requirements (e.g. GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR where applicable)
Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits with appropriate documentation and evidence
Application, Strategy and Leadership
Oversee business-critical applications and data systems
Define and deliver IT strategy aligned with business and compliance needs
Lead IT projects, manage vendors and budgets, and evaluate new technologies
Line-manage external service providers, fostering a collaborative and service-focused team culture

Skills/Experience/Qualifications
You bring broad, hands-on IT infrastructure expertise with a strong focus on security, reliability, and compliance in regulated environments.
Broad IT infrastructure experience across networking, servers, cloud, and end-user systems
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks, particularly ISO 27001
Experience supporting compliance, audits, and validation in regulated environments
Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g. ERP, QMS, databases)
Experience managing suppliers, projects, and IT budgets
Previous people-management or senior technical leadership experience would be advantageous
