Job Summary:



We are seeking a highly skilled hands-on IT Operations Manager to serve as the right-hand person to our Chief Information Officer (CIO). You will be responsible to oversee our company's IT infrastructure and ensure the seamless operation of our IT services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing IT operations and Projects.

In this strategic role, you will become a trusted advisor, providing exceptional administrative support while also taking initiative on key projects. You will be a key member of the Technology Leadership Team, working closely with the CIO to ensure their day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently, allowing them to focus on driving the company's technological direction.

Key Responsibilities:



End User Services:

Oversee the various service providers ensuring they deliver all IT services on-time and within the agreed SLA levels.

Manage IT Infrastructure:

Oversee the maintenance, upgrade, and management of all IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.

Microsoft 365:

Oversee and work alongside Service Integrators to implement the full Microsoft stack.

Microsoft Azure:

Lead cloud first strategy and ensure all Microsoft Azure services are maintained and available as per business requirements.

Service Management:

Ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services to meet the needs of the business, including incident management, problem resolution, and service requests.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and maintain security protocols to protect company data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Vendor Management:

Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts and ensure the delivery of quality services.

Project Management:

Lead IT projects from planning to execution, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Performance Monitoring:

Monitor and analyse the performance of IT systems and services, implementing improvements as needed to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Backup and Recovery:

Monitor all data backup services including all cloud workload.

Governance, Audit and Compliance:

Collaborate with internal and external audit teams ensuring systems and services are compliant and maintained to the highest standards.

Disaster Recovery:

Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure or other emergencies.

Key Qualifications:



Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Architecture, MCP, ITIL, PMP or Prince II) is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a technical hands-on delivery role.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in managing IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and security systems. Experience with cloud services and virtualization is preferred.

Problem-Solving:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and effective solutions.

Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Project Management:

Proven experience in managing IT projects, with a track record of successful project delivery.
