Job Description

Purpose of the Role



The Project Manager will be responsible for leading ERP-related projects and associated software development initiatives, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, time, cost, and quality. The role requires strong project governance, stakeholder engagement, and practical understanding of ERP implementations and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities



Define, plan, and deliver ERP and software development projects in line with business priorities. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, and budgets. Apply structured project management methods (e.g. PRINCE2, PMI, Agile) to track progress and manage risks, issues, and change. Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to testing, deployment, and support handover. Lead ERP system enhancements, integrations, and upgrades in collaboration with technical and business teams. Manage third-party vendors, consultants, and contractors, ensuring deliverables meet contractual and quality standards. Facilitate project governance: steering groups, reporting, and stage gate reviews. Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and project sponsors, managing expectations and dependencies. Ensure knowledge transfer and smooth transition to business-as-usual teams at project closure.

Person Specification



Essential



Demonstrable experience in managing ERP implementation or upgrade projects. Proven track record delivering software development projects across the full SDLC. Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMI, Agile, or equivalent). Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external suppliers. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities. Proficient with project management and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Project, DevOps, MS Teams).

Desirable



Experience in Microsoft Business Central Familiarity with ITIL and structured change management processes. Professional certification (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, AgilePM). Sector experience in retail and manufacturing.

ERP business owners and process leads. Internal IT and development teams. Project sponsors, steering groups, and senior leadership. External vendors, consultants, and system integrators.

Measures of Success



ERP and software development projects delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. Business stakeholders satisfied with delivered outcomes. Risks, issues, and dependencies managed and documented. Clear transition and knowledge transfer to support/BAU teams.

Pay: 55,000.00-70,000.00 per year
