Job summary
At FCDO Services we protect the UK's interests at home and overseas. We design and construct secure government buildings and courier diplomatic packages worldwide, safeguard government tech and a whole lot more. Our work is as varied and vital as it gets, but we never lose sight of our people. Their skills, aspirations and growth mean as much as the global mission we're on. In our world, it all matters.
Job description
Our Digital and Data technology team are at the forefront of digital innovation. They provide best in-class solutions for our clients, helping to shape and support a data driven future for UK government. Whether it's creating bespoke, secure software, offering programme and application support or moving an entire embassy's servers to a Cloud platform. No matter the task, they are on hand to support. Now, you've got the opportunity to join them.
Providing innovation to government partners.
Delivering best-in-class solutions.
Working at the cutting-edge of technology
It all matters.
Work at the heart of our global IT operation
Our tight-knit and collaborative team of IT engineers, analysts and managers help to keep the UK safe and secure, and when you join us in this role you'll focus on the successful delivery of managed services, and support their ongoing evolution. You'll achieve this by reporting progress against KPIs and supporting operational delivery teams as they follow our processes for change, risk and issue reporting. We'll also expect you to maintain detailed records of reporting and engagement calendars, and encourage a team culture of positive efficiency by providing insights on reporting and engagement alignments.
You'll have a wide range of additional responsibilities - these include working with your analyst colleagues to produce reporting packs for Senior IT Service Managers, customers and internal stakeholders, and adding context to MI data to support effective analysis of service performance. In order to support the successful completion of KPIs, you'll engage with delivery units, identify areas of risk and report these to our Head of IT Service Management.
Use all your skills and experience as you help defend the UK's interests
To be a success in this role you'll hold an ITIL 4 Foundation certificate, have well developed knowledge of SLAs/OLAs/Contracts and their relationships, and be a confident user of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Your excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills will allow you to work creatively as a key member of our team, and you'll be committed to providing a service of the very highest quality.
Knowledge of FCDO's overseas platform and/or experience of working with FCDO and Programme Assurance Groups would be desirable, as would knowledge of technical security and ICT. In addition, a practical understanding of PowerBI and Service Management tools such as ServiceNow would be an advantage.
Discover the support you need to grow your career further
But we're always looking to improve - just like you. That's why when you join us, expect to receive a competitive salary, generous holiday entitlement and a Civil Service Pension. Along with this, you'll also have access to training and other development opportunities to help grow your career with us. Our offices have an on-site gym, nursery, cafe, and restaurant, and we offer interest-free loans on season tickets and bikes to help you get there. It's a great set of benefits made to support all you do, and all you need.
