1st and 2nd line support
across the business, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and resolving technical issues efficiently. You'll work closely with various departments to maintain hardware, software, and network infrastructure, while delivering excellent service and clear communication to end users.
Main Duties:
Act as the first point of contact for technical issues, responding to incidents via the Service Desk and providing solutions or escalating to appropriate team members
Deliver support remotely or face-to-face for PCs, Macs, handheld devices, printers, and networking, including configuration and repairs
Carry out routine configuration and installation of software and hardware
Provide customer service excellence, ensuring all user contact is handled in a pleasant, helpful, and professional manner
Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes
Log and maintain assets and user equipment register
Take a proactive approach to IT security and regulatory compliance
Perform daily infrastructure maintenance and monitoring tasks
Document processes and contribute to the IT knowledgebase
Clearly explain technical issues and resolutions to users in a way that is easy to understand, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout the process
Technical Skills and Knowledge Required:
Knowledge of Windows operating systems and familiarity with macOS
Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), network configuration (routing, switching, firewalls, Wi-Fi), and troubleshooting connectivity issues
Proficient in supporting and troubleshooting desktop PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Active Directory for user and permissions management, and other common business applications
Ability to document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and knowledge base articles for future reference
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly language, both verbally and in writing
Desirable Experience:
Experience with remote desktop tools and mobile device management (MDM)
Familiarity with ITIL practices
Exposure to cybersecurity principles and tools
Experience supporting cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
Scripting or automation knowledge (PowerShell, Bash)
