Job Description

What's Yonder?

"It's as if Time Out, Amex and Monzo had a baby" - Will T, Yonder Member

We're building the financial membership of the future. Starting with a credit card that has fun and experiences at its core, we're the antithesis to your parents' stuffy, corporate, boring credit card.

Whilst tech is revolutionising the finance industry, credit is still stuck in the stone ages. We want to create a world where financial services are fair and conscious, and the stress of debt is eliminated for everyone.

We raised an additional 23.4M in September 2024 to grow our team, launch even better rewards and fast-track our expansion outside the UK

###

Sounds cool. What's my part in this?

Managing the office WiFi and occasionally fixing problems with laptops has been a fun side-project for Harry, our CTO for the past 4 years - but as we're scaling it's not the best employee experience to wait for a gap is his diary for a bit of help!

We're looking for an IT Support Associate to come and join our technology team, working directly with the CTO to make sure all our people have the right tools, access and support they need to do their best work. You'll be hands-on from day one, owning our internal IT experience across the company and setting the foundations to scale the function as we grow.

###

What you'll do

You'll primarily be working as Yonder's first-line IT Support, but we love people wearing multiple hats and there's ample opportunity to use some of our low/no-code platforms to iterate and improve some of our internal tooling. Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities:

First-line IT support:

Helping teammates troubleshoot and resolve issues with their laptops, phones, or the software we use - whether that's in-person or over Slack.

Device management:

Managing our Mac fleet via MDM, making sure devices are secure, compliant, and regularly updated.

Onboarding and off-boarding:

Provisioning laptops, managing stock, setting up new starters with the right tools, and making sure access is removed when people leave.

Access management:

Handling day-to-day access requests, supporting internal role changes, and working with managers to regularly review who has access to what.

IT hardware and peripherals:

Monitoring our device inventory, coordinating repairs or replacements, and making sure the office has the kit people need.

Office AV and setup:

Supporting our Hoxton office environment, including maintaining video conferencing setups and keeping meeting rooms running smoothly.

General office management:

Supporting day-to-day office operations - making sure the space is well-stocked, tidy, and running smoothly, and acting as a point of contact for any facilities-related needs.

Security-first mindset:

Supporting good security practices day to day - flagging issues early, following least privilege access principles, and helping the team stay compliant.

Tooling improvements:

Using our low/no-code platforms to help improve internal workflows and reduce repetitive tasks.
###

You're a great fit if you

You're a problem solver:

You love solving problems and helping people, and you don't mind answering the same question twice if it helps someone get unstuck.

You're security-conscious:

You've got a security mindset and take pride in setting others up to work safely and efficiently.

You enjoy making things work:

You're curious about how things work and enjoy finding ways to make internal tools and processes better.

You thrive in an office:

You're happy working in the office most of the week and enjoy being the go-to person for all things IT.

###

You won't be a great fit if you

You just want to take tickets from a board:

This role is highly collaborative and people-facing, you'll need to be proactive at identifying gaps and taking action to improve things.

You want a fully remote setup:

We're an in-office culture and your presence on-site is essential.

You want a narrow support role:

This is a broad role, you'll be looking into hardware and software issues, managing access, and building process. You'll also be expected to get involved in other initiatives across technology when you've got capacity.

+

Experience interview:

We'll deep dive into your CV and talk about your past experiences. You'll meet Harry again and another member of the team. +

#####

Other things to know:

We love closing the feedback loop at Yonder. You can expect specific feedback on our decision from Stage 2 onwards, and you can always ask for more. We must complete the right to work & criminal background checks for every new Yonder-er for compliance purposes because we handle sensitive customer data. We also do reference checks, ideally with your most recent manager on the phone. We like to move quickly at Yonder, so we will be ready to onboard you once the above checks are complete - the entire process can take between 2 - 6 weeks.

We know that diverse teams build better products. If you're from an under-represented community, we'd especially love to hear from you.

Even if you don't feel 100% qualified, please do apply anyway. Your attitude and desire to grow are just as important as your experience.
