IT Support Desk Coordinator / IT Field Engineer

Are you passionate about technology and thrive in dynamic, hands-on environments? We're seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Desk Coordinator/IT Field Engineer who will assist the IT support function and the smooth day-to-day office operation. Providing desk-based support to users, and install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment on-site or remotely across multiple locations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or ticketing system. Log, prioritise, and track support requests, incidents, and resolutions in the help desk ticketing system. Assign and escalate tickets to appropriate IT personnel and ensure timely resolution. Monitor support desk performance and generate reports on trends and metrics (e.g., ticket volumes, response/resolution times). Maintain and update documentation related to IT processes, known issues, and standard solutions. Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees, including hardware and software setup. Provide basic technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and software applications. Coordinate hardware and software asset management, including inventory tracking. Develop and maintain strong relationships with end-users and IT staff. Ensure compliance with company IT policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs). Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience Required:

2+ years of experience in a technical support or service desk role. Strong understanding of network typology and router configuration. Experience in a field engineering or similar technical role. Proficiency with IT hardware, equipment, and networks. Safety-conscious, adaptable, and resilient in all conditions. Excellent problem-solving and communication
Key Competencies and Capabilities:

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Familiarity with Windows Mac operating systems, Office 365, and basic networking

Working Hours 39.5 per week

Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5pm and Friday 8:30am-4:30pm with an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes
