We are seeking a dedicated IT Support professional to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support to end-users via help desk channels, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Troubleshoot and resolve software problems across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Assist with the configuration, installation, and maintenance of computer hardware components and peripherals.
Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory and utilise tools such as SCCM and ServiceNow for asset management.
Support network infrastructure including LAN, VPNs, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and TCP configurations.
Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operation.
Document incidents and resolutions accurately using ticketing systems like BMC Remedy and Jira.
Collaborate with team members to escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Contribute to the development of technical documentation and user guides for end-users.
Requirements
Proven experience in IT support or a similar role with strong knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls.
Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues across Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with Active Directory management, Microsoft Office suite, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, SCCM.
Solid understanding of computer hardware components and peripherals.
Experience supporting remote access solutions and security protocols including VPNs.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Strong analysis skills with the ability to diagnose complex problems efficiently.
Organised approach with attention to detail in documenting incidents and resolutions.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or similar are desirable.
