Lawrence David Ltd are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join the team!
The purpose of this role is to provide systems and desktop support for our end users, to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the business and cover on-site / remote IT support for our 5 sites across Peterborough and surrounding area. Managing incidents and service requests raised by the internal IT user base and subsequently working with 3rd parties if required for an effective resolution. You will deliver professional IT support effectively utilizing our ITSM while playing an active role within the team aiding with projects and routine IT operational tasks for the successful delivery of technology.
What you can expect:
Provide 1st / 2nd line helpdesk support to answer users' inquiries regarding all types of IT / business tool
Perform office and shopfloor IT hardware/software installations including new starter equipment preparation.
On-site installation and decommissioning of IT services across our sites.
General networking duties including PCs and Printer setup and problem resolution
Support of modern communication and messaging applications e.g. Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online / Outlook, Teams VoIP and SMS.
Detecting the need for and providing proactive Learning and Development opportunities for all staff.
Support for creation of FAQ and Help information on IT troubleshooting
Experience in the below is advantageous:
Microsoft Operating Systems: Setup and Deployment
Active Directory: User / PC administration, Group Policy, DNS etc
Networking Infrastructure: VPN, DHCP, and Wireless Access Points (WAP).
Physical Infrastructure: Hands-on with Servers, NAS's, Firewalls, and Switching.
Good understanding of IT administration and maintenance of a Microsoft environment with a mix of client architecture (Windows Client and Server OS, IOS and Android).
Able to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally to all levels of staff
Familiar with networking fundamentals
Analytical mindset made for troubleshooting with an eye for detail
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace, particularly mechanical workshop environments
Driving License and access to own car

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm or 8:30am to 4:30pm. 37.5 hours per week including a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
