It Support Field Engineer

Job Description

As an established and expanding IT Services company, we are looking for a Field Engineer to join our team. You will be working from our modern offices in a rural setting on the outskirts of Chester (just off the A55) as well as travelling to client premises mainly throughout the Northwest region and on occasion throughout the UK.

As a key person within the team infrastructure no two days will be the same and you will have input to a wide variety of projects.

What will you be doing?



Liaising with clients and providing on-site support, installations, maintenance and upgrades

Installation and maintenance/testing of Cat 5/6 cabling

Hosted VOIP setup & installations including roll out of phone systems, handsets and door entry systems (3cx)

CCTV Installations

Installations of networking equipment

Responding to faults and replacing equipment

Servicing and upgrading of IT products and services

Working hours - Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm

Part of 24/7 on call rota

Occasional requirement to attend our datacentres in Chester and Leeds

Continuous learning, undertake training on bespoke software and hardware partnerships that the company has

Skills and experience we are looking for;



Previous experience within a similar role within an MSP environment and field work

Experience installing hosted VoIP including 3cx, Yeastar

Experience with Microsoft cloud-based services, including 365, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams and MS Office Suite

Networking/Routing/Firewall experience

Project experience of network design, implementation and troubleshooting

Full clean driving license for use of the company vehicle, at times you may need to use your own vehicle, mileage can be reclaimed
