As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for helping to maintain and support the company's complex network and I.T. infrastructure. Your role will encompass troubleshooting and diagnosing computer hardware and software issues, assisting employees with IT-related problems, Windows & MAC support, and printer support.
Your main duties will include:
Serving as the first point of contact for IT support and responding to incidents and requests logged in the company Helpdesk System in a timely manner.
Prioritising incidents and requests and escalating complex issues to higher-level IT staff when needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows/macOS, network connectivity, and business applications.
Provide technical support for desktop systems, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes (user accounts, hardware setup, permissions).
Mitel Contact Centre and VoIP telephony support.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting printer issues.
Providing technical support to our Warehouse/Dispatch operations.
Supporting company Wi-Fi and wireless barcode scanners.
Installing, configuring & maintaining software and hardware components.
Security patching and monitoring our central cyber security system.
Supporting & maintaining Microsoft 365.
Maintaining IT asset inventory.
Document technical issues, solutions, and processes.
Ensure adherence to IT policies and procedures, including data security.
You will be an energetic, highly driven individual. You will have a positive and enthusiastic outlook and be a good team player. Commitment and the ability to take the initiative and meet deadlines are a must. The ability to multi-task, excellent problem-solving skills and a self-motivated approach are also vital.
Required Skills
1 -3 years in a technical support role.
Microsoft 365 Administration.
Microsoft Exchange Online.
Microsoft Office applications.
Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
Familiarity with Active Directory, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Excellent customer service.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Understanding and awareness of Cyber Security best practices.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Nice to Have
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP/MCSA, or similar.
Windows Server.
VMware.
Veeam Backup & Replication.
Wi-Fi configuration & management.
ITIL Foundation v4.
Familiarity with cloud-based tools and services (Azure etc.)
Adobe Acrobat Creative Cloud Apps
Working hours/Holidays:
This is an office-based role working Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5.00pm with some Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays, and flexible working hours during our peak periods. Holidays 23 days + Bank Holidays.
You will also be included in our out of hours emergency on-call rotas, so it is essential that you have your own transport and can reach our offices within 40 minutes (even in heavy traffic).
