We're looking for an experienced and motivated

IT Support Specialist

to deliver first-class technical support across our organisation. This is a

field-based role

--you'll visit our home sites to ensure our IT systems run smoothly, resolve technical issues, and train staff on our

ClearCare

children's social care management system.

Duties



Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across various platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer networking, VPNs, firewalls, and TCP/IP configurations in person, over the phone, and via email. Assist with desktop support tasks, including the installation and configuration of new computers, mobile devices, printers, and network equipment. Perform system analysis to identify areas for improvement in IT processes and user experience. Maintain documentation of IT procedures and user guides to enhance knowledge sharing within the team. Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure optimal performance of LAN/WAN environments. Leading the administration, training, and support for our

ClearCare

system. Monitoring system performance, carrying out updates, and preventing downtime. Maintaining accurate technical documentation and equipment records.

Qualifications



Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related degree, and 1 to 3 years of experience, is required. A+ Certified is preferred

What we're looking for:



Proven IT support experience (helpdesk, desktop, or field support). Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset. Excellent communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users.

Full UK driving licence

and ability to travel to all our sites. Knowledge of children's social care systems (advantageous, but training provided). Able to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
