Job Description

IT Support Technician



We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Support Technician who thrives in a dynamic, multi-site environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, coupled with a commitment to delivering exceptional user support.

Responsibilities



1. IT Support & User Assistance



Provide comprehensive IT support for all PC hardware, software, and associated peripherals across multiple sites.

2. System Setup & Configuration



Configure and deploy PCs, laptops, telephony, and peripheral devices for staff. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems to agreed standards. Manage user accounts, access permissions, and IT assets, ensuring smooth onboarding and offboarding.

3. Infrastructure Management & Improvement



Maintain and enhance the local IT infrastructure to improve efficiency and reliability. Support upgrade programmes, infrastructure projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure systems remain secure, resilient, and aligned with operational needs.

4. Cybersecurity & Compliance



Promote cybersecurity best practices across the organisation. Help maintain compliance with relevant security and data protection standards.

5. Documentation & Knowledge Management



Keep IT documentation up to date, including system inventories and procedural guides. Provide day-to-day assistance with core systems, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and ERP software (123Insight). Troubleshoot system, server, and network problems, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues. Log all support calls and document outcomes to help identify recurring issues and improve service.

Key Requirements:



Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, Exchange, OneDrive, etc.) Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration Knowledge of Active Directory / Entra ID (Azure AD) Excellent troubleshooting skills Strong Communication and Customer service skills A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards learning new technologies and continuously improving technical skills. Keen interest in professional development and a desire to grow within a dynamic IT environment Experience with PowerBI would be advantageous Familiarity with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager would be advantageous Full UK Driving license with access to own vehicle.
