As an IT Support Technician at Mick George, you will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to provide effective IT support to our staff. You will work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in a range of IT systems and technologies.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, applications, and peripherals.
Set up and configure user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
Collaborate with senior IT staff to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
Document and maintain accurate records of IT support requests and resolutions.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT documentation and knowledge base articles.
Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Skills & Competencies
Essential
A strong interest in IT and a passion for problem-solving.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Desired Skills (not mandatory but a plus):
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with troubleshooting basic networking issues.
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
Previous experience in a customer service role
