Overview

The role is highly user facing and involves dealing with people from all areas and levels of the business. A hight degree of customer focus and team working is required, along with good interpersonal skills are essential.

Wolds operate over 3 locations, with remote workers and applications, utilising WAN's, local and cloud services.

The ideal candidate will:

Be experienced in supporting end users within a multi-site IT environment.

Be proficient at understanding and resolving problems.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Work well within a team and manage your own time and prioritise tasks.

Effective communication skills.

Familiarity with support administration tools, i.e. ticketing systems, MS Active Directory, MS server

Willingness to learn new skills and new technologies.

Enthusiastic and positive attitude.

Desirable:

Experience of PowerBI, Docuware, Merlin ERP would be an advantage.

Coding experience.

Responsibilities:

Work as part of a team to manage the day to day running of a small, but busy IT department. Be a first point of call for staff support and assist with trouble shooting for hardware, software and network services, communications and management. Develop solutions and reports from data sources such as PostgreSQL, HFSQL, MSSQL etc. Install and configure software and hardware (desktops, servers, networks, etc.) Manage network servers and technology tools (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.) Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements. Manage security through centralised anti-virus and patch management. Assist with managing O365, SharePoint and exchange users. Manage data backups and disaster recovery operations.
Be a stake holder for new projects such as e-commerce and analytic developments.
