The Role:



As an IT Support Technician (1st Line), you will be the first point of contact for IT queries, providing efficient, friendly support to colleagues across the business. You will ensure smooth day-to-day operations by resolving common issues, maintaining accurate records, and escalating more complex cases to the System Operations Technician. This role is key in keeping our people productive and confident with their IT tools.

Key responsibilities:



USER SUPPORT

Act as the first point of contact for IT queries (helpdesk, calls, tickets).

Troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues, escalating where needed.

Support meeting setup to ensure all meetings begin smoothly with full access to required systems.

SYSTEMS & RECORDS

Maintain the IT asset register and manage user accounts.

Log and categorise issues to provide insight for process improvement.

Carry out database maintenance and data cleansing.

COLLABORATION & TRAINING

Assist colleagues with day-to-day efficiency by supporting use of tech-enabled workflows.

Contribute to knowledge sharing and process documentation.

Develop reporting and data skills to support business needs as experience grows.

About you:



Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and IT hardware.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels.

Organised approach to logging and tracking tickets.

Eager to learn and develop IT skills.

Previous IT support experience desirable.

A full driving license to enable you to drive from our Scunthorpe site to our Brigg site
