Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and skilled

IT Technician

to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an on-site role based between at our Heathrow Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and configuring our IT infrastructure, supporting multiple teams across the business, and playing a critical role in the deployment and testing of both software and physical systems.

Requirements



Key Responsibilities:



IT Infrastructure & Asset Management



Manage and configure all IT assets including laptops, servers, and networking equipment. Administer and maintain company networks and VPNs Maintain security, performance, and availability of systems. Intune end point management

Cloud and DevOps Administration



Manage and configure Microsoft Azure tenants. Maintain Azure DevOps environments, including user access and project setup.

Team Support Functions



Assist the

Development Team

with application testing and environment setup. Support the

Analytics Team

in deploying and testing business intelligence dashboards. Work with the

Solutions Team

in the testing and commissioning of baggage systems. Collaborate with the

Integration Team

on manual testing and validation of baggage systems.

Skills & Experience:



Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and the Microsoft 365 suite (Office applications, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams). Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure cloud services and Azure Entra (Active Directory) is essential. Familiarity with Windows Server administration (e.g. Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) and virtualization technologies is expected. Competence in basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, VPN) and understanding of network concepts (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing) is required.

Infrastructure Management:

Demonstrated ability to manage and support IT infrastructure both on-premises and in cloud environments. Experience with Azure infrastructure monitoring, resource optimisation, and cost management is desirable. Knowledge of backup solutions and storage management is beneficial.

Security & Compliance Knowledge:

Good understanding of IT security principles and best practices (firewalls, antivirus, patch management, access control). Familiarity with information security frameworks and standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 and the UK Cyber Essentials scheme is highly valued. You should be aware of the controls required under these standards (e.g. secure configurations, least privilege access, incident reporting) and be able to assist in maintaining them.

Problem-Solving:

Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently. A resourceful approach to solving technical challenges and the judgement to know when to escalate complex problems.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, non-technical terms to end users. Experience in a user-facing support role providing customer service is essential. You should be able to document solutions and produce user-friendly guides as needed.
