An exciting opportunity has arisen for an

IT Support Technician

to join our Digital Services team reporting to our Technical Support Lead. Come join our friendly hardworking team and be part of our new exciting journey where you can make a real impact. As an IT Support Technician working at the Education Training Collective, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless operation of our technological infrastructure, supporting both staff and students in their use of IT resources.



You will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of our educational technology ecosystem. Working with the Technical Support Lead to provide an outstanding end user experience to all stakeholders.



What will I be doing?


Providing level 1 and 2 technical support and report incidents and problems via the Groups Service Desk Work with the Technical Support Lead and Computer Systems Analyst in the development of the groups ICT environment ensuring the network and infrastructure meets the needs of the curriculum and support services Ensure that all customer inquiries and issues are resolved correctly and in a prompt and professional manner in line with the departments SLAs Provide feedback to wider staff and customers on resolved and in progress problems and incidents Install, configure and maintain classroom, desktop, and mobile IT equipment. Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve IT systems and service issues. Use your technical expertise, knowledge, and skills to maintain the IT environment across the college including advice and guidance to users. Apply college e-security and e-policies in an operational setting. Interface with service desk system to self-manage calls through to resolution to an agreed service level. Where directed you'll operate network, server, desktop and peripheral systems to manage systems and users. Attend team and other college meetings, mandatory training and relevant staff development sessions and participate in the Appraisal Review Process.
