Working collaboratively with a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts, you will be responsible for managing the successful end-to-end delivery of IT projects, working to stakeholder requirements and ensuring budget and quality targets are met.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The technical Project Manager will be required to successfully manage multiple project initiatives in a technical environment with a wide range of matrix managed resources and 3rd party suppliers to achieve successful outcomes within quality, budget and lead time constraints.
You will have extensive experience of delivery within Agile, waterfall or iterative delivery environments and be comfortable leveraging, adhering to and contributing to an SDLC process.
Experienced working in a matrix delivery environment holding teams accountable to deliverables and providing transparency and viability of progress and issues as they arise.
Ability to communicate clearly via all channels and provide regular reporting and stakeholder management updates as appropriate.

Ownership of E2E delivery lifecycle SDLC
Provision of regular reporting and updates either Ad Hoc or via standard update mechanisms as appropriate

Ability to create, maintain and escalate against RAID logs
Pro-active approach to problem solving and issue management
Ability to review and contribute to SDLC documentation
Ability to implement and manage robust documentation version control and track change

Ability to manage stakeholders effectively against plain English expectations
Manage project and service stakeholders, ensuring effective and timely communication, realistic expectations and displaying a positive 'can do' attitude.
Manage third party suppliers ensuring a quality, value for money service and maintaining effective relationships.
Working closely with a team of stakeholders, to facilitate business design activities including business requirements gathering and definition of As-Is and To-Be processes.

Maintain a good awareness of general Project Management trends & developments.
Manage and motivate project teams ensuring effective performance management, training and coaching.
Contribute to the overall management of the Transformation Function; in a collaborative manner, accepting additional responsibility for specific management activities or leading "ad hoc" management tasks.

Maintain consistent, accurate plans covering schedule, cost and resource, providing timely progress and performance reporting.

ABOUT YOU
Essential
Able to commute to Bradford city centre
8+ years' experience working in a technical delivery role managing software or data engineering lead deliverables
Managed project teams with at least 10 matrixed managed team members
Managed multiple project in parallel against a priority order
Good working knowledge of MSP & Jira or equivalent
Good working knowledge of software and data engineering practices
Good working knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices and how these are leveraged to complete E2E SDLC delivery
Advanced users of Word, Excel, able to set up tables, spreadsheets, graphs etc
Demonstrate the ability to apply common sense to complex delivery problems to achieve best possible outcomes rather than perfect
Communication & Leadership
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage effectively at all levels, both internally and with 3rd parties.
Management of cross-functional, multi-disciplined personnel (matrix), displaying leadership, motivational and coaching skills.
Flexible and proactive approach to change, encouraging innovation and presenting change positively.
Strategic thinking skills, able to place Transformation activity in an organisational context.
Technical Knowledge
Strong planning, analytical and reporting skills, able to assimilate complex information and present recommendations.
Awareness of business analysis best practises.
Confident and proficient in the application of structured project management methods, tools and techniques with a recognised PM qualification such as APMG Agile PM, APM Project Management, Prince 2.
Practical experience across Project & Software Development Lifecycles (Agile/Hybrid/Waterfall) and associated tools; techniques; methods.
Broad awareness of Project Management and general Information Technology capabilities concepts and trends.
Desirable
Good understanding of retailing, markets, customer groups
Advanced commercial understanding of business and retailing
Cross functional project experience.
Competitor knowledge and understanding in both retail and online
