Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service and technical support, demonstrating proficiency in various operating systems and computer networking. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, providing assistance to users, and resolving technical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and Configure: Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.).

Maintenance and Repair: Check computer hardware (HDD, mice, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality and perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems.

Software Management: Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.

Network Management: Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance and ensure security and privacy.

User Support: Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.

Upgrades and Updates: Organise and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.

Documentation: Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.

Inventory Management: Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders.

Security: Implement and manage security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

Monitoring: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.

Training: Conduct training sessions for staff on IT best practices and new technologies.

Project Management: Assist in IT-related projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and specifications.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an IT Technician or relevant position.

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication ability.

Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.

In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar are a plus.
